Accepting that chemicals can ooze together and create life, like throwing ABC and D together randomly, and discarding the scientific facts that catalysts and enzymes are needed in a step-by-step ordered, intelligent process, like A + B, then AB + C, etc., is taking evolution by faith. He hit the nail on the head when he said it's about humans having a spark of the divine versus being a puddle of mud struck by lightening. It's not only the science that's being debated, but the philosophical which makes it so much more worthy of questioning and debate.

Chemicals can indeed ooze together and be self catalyzing. It's just a matter of getting the timing and the conditions correctly.
