I found the culprit! Ok the freezer didn't smell. Neither did the food. It was the containers!! I think the freezer burn and the type of plastic mixed together produced this yucky smell. Even after washing the plastic the containers, the smell remains. None of the food actually smelled.

Also, it's always the broccoli that smells and taste bad...none of the other veggies which have been in there longer. The other food that takes on the smell and taste is the frozen battered fish.

I tossed out a of stuff...I also think food in the freezer door isn't a good idea b/c it's not as cold. I also increased the cold temperature in the freezer.

I'll monitor the smell now.
