This topic was started in a tongue-in-cheek mode. Being in the industry, cable cuts are very common. I just think it's odd that these five cuts continue to take out huge swathes of Internet. Before there were always back-ups (redundant fibers). The first two cut were supposedly done at the same time and took out a lot of the ME. It could be a ships anchor or the RIAA has contracted the USN to adapt their UW UAV's with giant Swiss Army knives to cut fiber to those anti-DRM countries like India and Iran.
