[cut to Granny cutting cable to house]

This topic was started in a tongue-in-cheek mode. Being in the industry, cable cuts are very common. I just think it's odd that these five cuts continue to take out huge swathes of Internet. Before there were always back-ups (redundant fibers). The first two cut were supposedly done at the same time and took out a lot of the ME. It could be a ships anchor or the RIAA has contracted the USN to adapt their UW UAV's with giant Swiss Army knives to cut fiber to those anti-DRM countries like India and Iran.

Can just see it now schools of UWV's roaming the oceans cutting cables effectively shutting down all cable communications. Satellite killers wiping out the cans in orbit. And a bunch of people sitting around with guns wondering what to do.
