Actually most modern Israeli Jews are more European than anything. One of the reasons Palestinians resent losing land to immigrant Jews is because most of them have very little Semitic ethnicity left in them yet still claim that land they never set foot in much less saw is suddenly theirs by divine right. Someone walks into my house saying they've always owned it isn't going to get a warm welcome.
