I have always said the conspiracy was in the cover-up of the intelligence and fbi failures to stop the attacks.

Having said that I do not believe any rogue element of our government planned and executed 9/11 or deliberately allowed it to happen.

I have great respect for Noam as well......
I believe w/ the cheney doctrine they didn't need a conspiracy or much else evidence wize......... If there is a one percent chance of something/anything bush/cheney believe they are just to act preemptively & w/ overwhelming force...........
If later it is proved that they acted callously or inappropriately (to put it mildly) then some other "good"/
plan B can be sold as justification........ W/ fear hanging over the heads of American ppl the deaths of faceless/nameless savages & their offspring seems a small price to pay for our
comfort & security.........
The fact that most Americans do not think in terms "others" but self alone, would seem to indicate this is not going to change in a long time..........
