conservatism was, at one time, a respectable political movement, but it was co-opted by these fringe ideologues and religious quacks who redefined the term to reflect their self-deluded identities. these new conservatives visualize themselves in positions of power but have no notion of what to do when they find themselves in that place. basically, they're just uncreative, insincere slobs with control issues.
