Well, kind of true. I'll be honest-a lot of us wanted to wear the dragonskin because it was MUCH cooler in the 120 degree heat. It allowed us to be much more mobile, faster on our feet, quicker at egress-ingress to vehicles. BUT-the army made it very clear that if we were killed while wearing Dragonskin armor...........our spouses or parents-whoever our benificary was, would not recieve our (rather substantial) death benifiet. No way were we going to sacrifice the lifetime well-being of our loved ones for some temporary hellish discomfort.
