I'll agree that a lot of what is found in xtian teachings are the abc's of spirituality. However, losing them all together seems quite abrupt. I noticed you kind of left your other humanity thread alone but perhaps if we made a different comparison, all spirituality would not be viewed as child's play. Right now, Native American spirituality is coming to mind. Even today, we tend to think of them as wiser than ourselves. So I suppose my question is - when you refer to childish things - are you referring to xtianity or * all * spiritual practices?

Well I was playing online with him at the time and I wasn't actually connecting it to what you said (I consider pool to be a game, not sport). I believe there is some truth to some viewing their religion as a spectator sport. In the other thread, my suggestion was self-exploration...which precludes spectators for the most part. Yet, after someone has remembered themselves, they tend to be on display (often misunderstood too).
Come to think of it, most everything in our american society has become like a spectator sport. Which is probably why will still have "losers" and less cooperation for the benefit of all.
