My grandmother recently passed, she was in hospice care at home. The day she passed a nurse immediately came to the house, she logged the medication my grandmother was on, and then promptly poured it down the drain ( my grandmother could no longer swallow pills) I was too distraught to think about what she was doing at the time, however, weeks later I can not believe I let her do that. She was not allowed to take the medication off the premises. She had to destroy it. This is a travesty. People could have used that medicine as well as it now went into poisoning people. How often does this happen in 1 day, not to mention all of the people that already dispose of their own medication this way. Distillation is probably the only safe method of drinking water.
