At work, (mentally challenged) a man had contracted MRSA from a nursing center where he went to heal from his surgery, but nobody told us..until a year later. I worked with him, my sister worked with him. (they have their own apartments)She worked with him in his apt. for 11 years and she'd had three previous surgeries. This resident had behavior problems and threw urine at her, feces and he scratched her hand. Not only that, but they told her she could change her bandage at work. Then she became very ill..that was a year ago July. That's when she found out it was MRSA..the same strain as his.
