The Astors look around at the horrible behavior of rich children and decided to have none and create schooling-options for poor people that, other wise, would not have existed.
McCain took and/or allowed plenty of money to be taken from poor, elderly people.
I'm NOT in favor of people living on 'the-dole'.
I am in favor of birth control for every one who wants it and for the top one percent.
The top one percent can bequeath to any single individual by merit and keep their numbers low - they way that they like it.
Making huge and growing numbers of poor people by birth, lack of oportunity or shoving them there is just dumb.

The whole problem with their argument is that at times they're both right and often at the same time. The pie can get larger overall [tech companies, highways, the advent of stock markets, the creation of banking, etc.] and there are also times when people do take wealth from others [railroads, the land grabs of the 19th century, etc.].
