Stayed up late watching this last night.
A very interesting look into just how fucked this whole thing has gotten. So many fuckups that spawned from pure short-sighted and just plain stupid reactionism, failure to plan, and even all out war behind the scenes between our own leadership.
From the moment Saddam and his army disappeared, Iraq = chaos.
From Saddams 250,000 officers in place for security, to 3,000 troops.
+ sending thousands of Saddams soldiers home with weapons and no jobs, and our boot up their ass. Smart.
And then while allowing the looting of schools and institutions, we dig trenches around the ministry of oil. Idiots.
..so many fuckups, it may be harder to find things they did right. But then fuckups do have a tendency to self -multiply.
