I respect President Bush for doing what he thinks is the right thing to do in Afganistan and Iraq. I am sure that he and Congress have so much more information than we have in regard to either war. He obviously has a tremendous amount of patience.

I am proud of President Bush for not allowing the media and polls that are affected by the media to run the country
. It would be much easier on him to follow the polls and call the NY Times before any major decisions to get their ok first.

I appreciate you starting this thread as I do respect him and feel he has done well on many things. I do not agree with some of his decisions but I feel he has my country's interest at heart. It is hard to dislike him for that.

I think I stated cutting taxes.
He did a tremendous job after 9-11.
He makes decisions for what he feels is best for the country and not led by the media and polls.
He has allowed our military to fight this countries enemy and has seemed to really try to keep politics out of military actions. (very difficult job).

Again I do realize all the good that he has done would not be possible without the support of congress.
Well I remember @ the time we thought that..... But we didn't know that....... & Now that we know what went down for a fact it is shocking just how poorly this "war" has been managed..... From letting binladen get away to turning the country's focus from binladen & terrorism to getting saddam..........

I can partially understand your lower taxes point as admittedly I benefited from them but lots of others did not...... In fact lowering taxes & beating the drum while simultaneously beating the drums of war is just plain dumb & a lesson that should have been learned via LBJ...........

I recall a thread back @ BM challenging us to come up w/ "good things" that bush had done.......... I honestly tried to come up w/ something, figuring the idea absurd that he could have done absolutely nothing but it was then that I realized that even some of the things he did I thought/assumed were good or benefiting the country was all in my mind...........

Did you watch front line-bushs war??? Most of my fears & anger of how & why events went as they did were proven & or revealed...........
