I'm in San Francisco right now. Sometimes I talk to people here; they tell me about differences in laws; I tell them how they could use the Constitution to protect themselves from some of the laws. They're so ignorant, I tell them about a whole number of different Bill of Rights amendments, yet they don't even know a single word in any of them. I recite the entire amendments, word-for-word (all Bill of Rights amendments are small), and the people are dumbfounded - as if they have never even glanced at the Constitution.
If the American people learned the Constitution, what it is for, and how to use it properly, concepts like liberalism and conservatism would have almost nowhere left.
