On first glance, and second and third, that's what I'da thought, too. Go figure.
But NOW, at 72nd glance, I think not and I'll tell you why.
First, it is my understanding that Biden withdrew from the campaign and that Edwards suspended his campaign and, amidst the plethora of rules that make no sense whatsoever outside of herding the outcome into narrowly defined possibilities...you can choose our guy/gal or you can choose our guy/gal...it is further my understanding that suspension makes Edwards, like Romney, eligible to re-enter the race. It is possible that my understanding is wrong, but that is my understanding.
Then, if that is so, BOWING TO REALITY, I warmed to the idea of a hard-nosed, no-nonsense, barracuda litigator Domestic Guy taking the top spot for a change...seein' as how our domestic front is goin' to hell in a hand basket largely because of crooks and liars...and an experienced, diplomatic, sophisticated Foreign Guy one rung down on the extension ladder of our priorities.
