And I swear to you ( Your about the only one I would say this to) this is not a smear thing. I was and am still looking to get some insight into what people here think about Obama's opinion on this today. I don't feel like searching the Net just for peoples take on it.
I have a rather Conservative view on Gun Control myself, being from a military family and living with a Peace Officer and having family in the police force. While you may think that Peace Officers are agianst guns.....some want the right to keep them in thier home and own them. Not all officers recieve a gun from their department.

Most people living in cities [easily half the country] as well as a substantial portion of suburban voters are for gun control ranging from sensible and moderates to extreme. Only a tiny minority is against any gun control or regulation.

Abortion, while I am for a womans right to choose I always try to talk my friends into giving birth and giving up the child for adoption. The funny thing is a girl I knew that you would think would be for keeping the baby (from a very conservative and well known family) had an abortion and the girl I knew who everyone thought would go for the abortion because they saw her as a "ho" had the baby and raised it by herself.

Let me bring you in on a dirty secret about who has abortions and why. They're slightly more common among families who oppose it and that's because their children don't support what the parents believe due to how pushy the parents are about it.
Now how would I know this?
