Why then did I try to one last time engage to the intellect of those whose attention spans it seems exactly mimic that of the little kids who ride the little bus and wear white helmets?

I capitulated in my first reply:
To tell you the truth at least Wright's message is grounded in some sort of truth. While most others are just promises that can never be kept for adherence to ritual.

The fact he's using the pulpit as a soapbox is relevent to the subject at hand.
Is the country run by rich white guys and if your not black does that equate to having an inablity to comprehend Wright? The answer to both is yes.
Anything more you'd like to know?
I think the very fact he's using the pulpit is actually softening the message because it reduces his legitimacy. Hence the big house and trips to Casinos it's been rumored he likes.
I'm in agreement with Bill on this one though. Really a none news item. A black guy mad at the system. Yawn.....
The fact it has sparked debate and possibly a new more serious look at the race problems in America is a good thing. But I wouldn't go giving credit to Wright for such a thing. Sort of just a serendipitous set of events.
