Well...not really. If a Asteroid or Meteorite hit, they don't really have to hit the Target exactly, just somewhere in the general vicinity will do, because after the impact, there is much death and destruction, then the fallout causes alot of death and damage too, for quite some time to come.

Precisely my point. If one were to vaporize portions of Jerusalem that would prove there is no divine protestion on any piece of real estate or chosen people.
True. And you will probably get your wish. Things have been much too calm, for a very long time, concerning Cataclysms on our Earth. Religion provides collective amnesia of these events, then they become shrouded in mystery and outright falsehood, when recorded, to lull people into a false security.

Yes, yes, I'm aware of that. According to one astronomer and his computer models we didn't get as much water as we could've.
I meant the Asteroids being made of Ice, probably carrying with it some form of life, colliding with our Earth, creating atmospheric upheaval, producing Clouds causing Rain, over a long period of time.

I missed that one. What did the show say about fallout blotting out the sunlight and where human populations were concentrated around the world at that time?
They were concentrated around India and thereabouts, in that region. And since according to their (scientists who investigated the event and myth of the biblical flood) findings, the Asteroid fell/slammed into the Indian Ocean, it caused immense Tsunamis, which caused extreme Floods, which killed half of Humanity that lived at that time, about 4800 years ago.

I'm still more inclined to believe the flood myth dates back to the end of the ice age and rising waters flooding coastal populations.
There was more than one devestating Flood on Planet Earth.

My point is if a hit occurs in Jerusalem it'd force people to realize that their religion doesn't render them immune to the usual and more apt "shit happens" universe of events.
As I said above...it is highly likely, that you will get your wish. It's time for a change and a somewhat rude awakening from a fantasy existance People have created for themselves, with all kids of Myths and Legends, including Religions and Gods.
