The US has just experienced, at least in my opinion, the worst president, VP and secretary of state in the history of the USA. I also believe that Congress has done little to nothing in these same years. And whether it's because of the dumbing of America, the population explosion, or too much beer, too many people appear incapable of understanding issues, debating issues, and finding consensus on resolutions for those issues.
The US has definitely accomplished some great things in it's past so someone was united. But ask yourself what has the current president and this Congress accomplished in the past eight years that has positively affected a majority of Americans?? In the face of a bankrupt social security system, the 37th worst health care system, an education system which is really a drop-out factory, a crumbling infrastructure, a recession, the continued loss of manufacturing and jobs, the dependence on oil, a $9 trillion and growing debt, and global climate change scenarios lurking around the corner, one would think we might be doing something to make things better.
The nation is about at an impasse. A recession, loss of jobs, loss of savings, a credit crisis, and inflation. Unless people can figure out how to unite, how to create change, and do it soon, then I say...Hold on Nellie...
