I do talk to them when I get a chance. I spoke to one just last week at the barber shop who had just got back from Iraq. After informing him I had been in the military and seen combat he opened up with some of the same things I had felt when I came back. The first thing out of his mouth was nobody back here has any idea what it is like over there because of the lying media. That is exactly the way I felt when I came back from Vietnam and had listened to what the media had been telling people. He said there were great accomplishments in Iraq. I took him at his word. I enjoyed our talk and thanked him for serving. He is obviously another conservative created by his experiences.

It still just dumfounds me that anyone in their right mind could attach the word "conservative" to ANYTHING that has to do with our involvement in Iraq.
Yep, if I were speeding down a dirt road in fallujia, with inadequate body armor and an eye on every parked vehicle I passed, I figure I'd lean conservative. :nobrainer:
It's cool if his experiences in Iraq made more conservative, but the sad fact is, that the policies that put him there are anything but.
