I agree they should have showed up.

Imagine, if for nothing else a few republicans voted against confirmation, just to make the vote close enough that 4 votes would have made a difference.

I have no problem holding this against ALL of them who didn't show, but I'll have a big problem if some who didn't show get a pass and the media makes a bit thing out of only some not showing.

On the other hand, it didn't seem to hurt Obama or help Hillary when she showed up to vote and he didn't on another issue recently.

Maybe this means more to us than it does to the general public. Which is also sad.
