(sorry about the car, more importantly... glad no one was hurt)

It gets better. There was a cop that witnessed the whole thing! He was going out on patrol, but was still in the driveway of the station. Also, when I crashed, I jumped a curb and destroyed a church bulletin board that was made of mortar and stone, and ended up 20 feet in front of the door! It's all in the report too. Quite an embarassing night. I'm actually friends with the cop that witnessed the whole thing. We still get a laugh out of it.

I try not to mention it at all since that accident should have killed me if it wasn't for the seatbelt and airbag. It was bad enough that the engine was pushed back 4 inches, the transmission actually ripped through the tunnel, seperated from the engine and was almost in the passenger seat, the body and chassis was so twisted that I had to kick the door open with everything I had, all windows were broken and the trunklid was detached from the car. Hell, the roof even was dented in. All of this from a 35 mph impact into a fixed object. I passed out while driving. Damn Japanese cars!

In that pic of the church you will see a tree in front of the church. That is the approximate location of the sign I destroyed and where I ended up. Across the street to the right is where the cop shop is.
