Why did the bird have to die Grandpa?
Travelocity has a commerical showing their "Elf" roasting a marshmallow, then falling off a cliff.
During the fall, the Elf smashes into an innocent Pigeon, the assumption being, when one considers the burst of feathers that follows, the falling Elf "killed" the Pidgeon.
My 6 year-old grandson was concerned: "...why did the man kill the bird Grandpa"?
I had no answers for him.
The "murder", is, after all, gratuitous and certainly not "funny" (ha-ha).
Why didn't they bounce the "Elf" off the cliff face instead (ha-ha)?
So why did Travelocity kill the bird?
