Does anybody really have a problem with requiring proof of identification to vote? California was the first state I've lived in that did not ask me for ID and I thought that it very strange that all I had to do was tell them my address. It always bothered me that someone could just follow another person up to the table, look over the shoulder of the person in front of them and just randomly pick a name off the list.

But in all fairness, if a state does mandate identification then the state should also enact a voter registration law that automatically registers everybody when they get a drivers license or other form of govt ID.
