When I read Danton's posts, I'm confused. I feel as if I'm caught in some weird newspaper nether region between letters to the editor and the old Pogo comic strip. The "truth" has been spoken not just by Obama, but by numerous economists and energy analysts that this so called "tax holiday" on gas is nothing more than political pandering that will result in insignificant savings to the driving public and extract millions from funds needed for bridge and road repair. I too resent the disingenuous quality of Danton's Hallmark greeting card posts. At least with Mudpie, we know we're getting pure, undiluted Fascism at its worst, although his blatant suck up worship of John McCain creeps me out a great deal more.
