I still cant figure out why it got the reputation in the first place. I could be wrong but hasn't starvation been a problem for quite some time? Was corn the only thing we were feeding people? Don't get me wrong, i do realize that there are issues with corn based alternatives but it's a start.

We sit here day in and day out pissing and moaning about fuel this, ME that, oil profits and etc.., but yet when we finally start looking in the right direction we turn our backs? Sure there are better sources like seaweed (not sure if this is still being considered; it's been about a year or so since i read the article) but we have to start somewhere. No one said it would be easy or quick. It's like people expected this to be solved as soon as the pumps were fired up. It's going to take time and lots of it.

Just because we are looking at ethanol as a possible solution doesnt mean we have to or will stop looking at other sources. Like i said it's a start and i am happy we at least are doing that.
