It is you that are confused. Since the whole of God cannot fit inside your tiny head, the thing in your head when you consider God is not actually God, but rather something far less. Thus you are worshipping something less than God, something other than God, something you built from nothing more than descriptions other men provided of something that is beyond description.
You worship an idea. An idea that exists nowhere but inside your skull. Ergo, you worship yourself.
