I suspect it's about the spotlight too. In the karma game, I'm sure all of us have played the opposites a few times or have been exposed to both sides in some way. The duality game is losing it's luster, imo.

To me, the choices in childhood are the ones settled before incarnating. So, really, past life exploration would be a valid tool in the process of understanding why someone would make such choices.

I recall on the old board I had a thread asking what others would choose to come back as in their next life. I believe only Cosmicrocker replied, saying he wanted to be a really hot chick who runs for president. Yet, the thread's point was to consider what lifestyle could you emerge into for whatever sets of experiences you're aiming to have. I'm hedging on fairy the next go round.
