Dear Bizdev:
I propose a strategic partnership between Lamps Plus and America, evidenced by launch of an orchestrated and inspirational, energy conservation program. Pick a percentage reduction of energy consumption, 50% seems MODEST in your field of expertise.
It matters not that other market sectors will have other realistic percentage reduction goals. Be in the vanguard, draw up a blue print, then challenge other corporations to likewise be citizens of American society as well as bastions of American commerce.
It bears remembering that the latter aren't All That without the former.
You could call it, LET THERE BE LIGHT.
You could especially call it LET THERE BE LIGHT if you donated whatever fraction of your savings, say 10%, to a fund for offsetting the utility bills of low low can't-even-buy-lamps income people.
Many Americans are struggling unduly in the late stages of the Bush Administration.
The lighting industry could help.
Lamps Plus could lead.
Hope and change are all fine and well, but the country and the economy...read that, the American People...are desperate for effective practical leadership.
