When did...

When did knowledge become an elitist trait?

When did it become bad to base a vote on something besides color?

When did reading a newspaper or watching the news become an elitist idea?

When did calling someone who is basing their vote purely upon the color of a person's skin an idiot become taboo?

When did knowledge stop equalling power?

When did the idea of hope become an elitist tool?

When did knowing about the candidates become a bad thing?

When did basing your vote on what a person says and not what they look like become grounds for being an elitist?

And, while we're at it, can someone define for me what an 'elitist' is?
