All this really does. Is take away the current ban for a specific reason, but it wouldn't take effect for 30 days, and an injunction has been requested to block it being implemented.

There is an amendment vote going before the voters in just a little while. I think they got the signatures in time. Arnold is against it.

Bush is on the same page as McCain, Clinton and Obama. Except the two Dems support the (what should be insulting to gays) civil unions.
Gays are striving for something that goes against a fundamental principle of Christian religion, which is also codified within societal policy. Basically what they are requesting is for US to give up our religious principle on this matter. That is impossible.
