for those of you who are anti-choice, could someone please explain to me how you can proclaim america the greatest country on earth, defend freedom and democracy then wish to begin it's systematic dismantling at the hands of an emotionally, rather than practically, charged issue?
for starters, roe v. wade will never be overturned...hear that, cookie? your republican leaders need it to get you to stay in line for fundraising and votes...a tool to scare your religious side, to threaten that which you don't really understand so your fear will override logic...why do you think they bring it up over and over again every single election cycle and nothing has been done about it? no one has made motions, no one has introduced legislation, no one has called for a debate...do you really enjoy being played like that?
secondly, who are any of you to tell anyone what they can or cannot do in their lives? cookie, you need your medication to function in life, to better your quality of living...what happens if the majority think that using synthetic drugs is immoral and dangerous because they are not a natural substance created by god? that we demand those drugs be banned because they can cause more problems in the long run than the few short years of increased quality of life now? your entire life as you currently know it would cease...your pain would increase, you may even die many years before you should because you would not have access to those drugs...given that or any similar scenario, do you want someone to take the decision about your life away from you, your doctor and your family?? do you believe that would just? to sacrifice your life for my beliefs, even if you do not choose to believe the same way as i?
you people are so arrogant....your whole argument is based on the fact that you actually believe women use abortion as birth control and that if people who just use condoms then abortion would not be needed...have any of you dare done any research on the subject? have you dared expand your knowledge base to find out the reason people choose abortion? in what scenarios the procedure is medically necessary?
i, for one, sincerely doubt it....
as for tax dollars being used...this government wastes billions upon billions of our tax dollars each year for nonsense projects and pork, yet you people want to bitch and moan about something that comprises less than 1% of the entire budget? where are your priorities?
but the bottom line above all else, is that no one else in this country has any right over my body, or anyone else's for that matter, to decide for us what is or is not an appropriate medical decision...period!
