(RANT)
In visiting PGF on those occasions when I'm online, I am thunderstruck how much time it takes a person to "man" an internet site, gleaning hundreds of posts and topics hour after hour, day after day.
What else do you do?
Me? I am out of the house in daytime, shooting photographs, gardening, straightening fences, keeping the modest home in good repair: why just yesterday I tore out the old pipes under the sink, installed a new faucet and drain pipes, got elbow deep helping my wife repot her plants, spent an hour or so wandering the aisles at SAM'S while waiting at the pharmacy for my prescriptions and trellised my four new tomato plants.
After a 131 minute webmaster session checking mail-etc., I watched the latest rerun of that really screwy-convoluted "Sopranos" dulli-drama, responded to my Digitek recall letter, napped (I like napping)-etc.
Quote:
*FYI: The “voluntary” nature of the Digitek recall is a deliberate; nay-dastardly subterfuge: designed to get you to send in your unused Digitek and receive or solicit a refund.
Don’t do it: send in your receipt or your unused meds that is.
If there is a class action lawsuit against the makers (and you know the law-suits are already in the pipeline), and you sent in your unexpired meds or in anticipation of or accept a refund, you are further prevented from joining the class action lawsuit(s) or filing one of your own, the thinking by the lawyers being you’ve already “Settled” with the maker.
So don’t send in your meds or take/solicit the refund.
*** The makers of “Digitek” (aka: “Digoxin”) were warned in March of 2006 by their own personnel about Digitek. The FDA and other government agencies have looked into the matter and so should you.

****I’ve been on Digoxin since 1991.

It was not until this morning (5-17-08) when the
"
Welcome al Asaad; you last visited" blurb told me I had last checked in yesterday at 08:52 AM".
Strange thing is, I do not remember doing so.
It is spring and the nearby Arboretums are in full bloom; or nearly so. My film and digital SLRs are clean, with new or refreshed batteries at the ready. Today after tmy morning doodle-around with the plants, I'm off to shoot the latest flowers and whatever else that attracts my eye.
Needless to say my micro and ultra-lite spinning rods always ride along, just in case the notion hits me to drag some line through one of the local (State Fish & Game) stocked ponds.
I noticed this morning how my "spluge" of postings has fallen off here, the blindingly self-serving posts of me and others no longer having a stranglehold on my time.
I wrote one little blurb this morning before I realized I didn't really care (
wasn't going to waste my time) scrolling though page after page of cryptic 5-10 words responses by someone or another dutifully firing back at... someone or another about McCain-Obama-Clinton etc..
Nope. I have better things to do than spend much more time (beyond this self-serving rant) writing at/on PGF.
I shoot film (Canon EOS) and digital (Olympus E3, E510) SLRs.
I also own and shoot the "fastest" ever digital "Bridge" camera:
My Panasonic DMC-FZ20, with its f/2.8 (
throughout the entire 36mm-432mm-zoom range) Leica lens.
With my 1.7 OLYMPUS T-CON tele screwed on, the FZ20 goes out to 714mm still at f/2.8.
I like and purchased the Olympus 4/3rds system because with the proper adapter, they let me shoot 14(!) different "legacy" lens mounts (To include those gorgeous Leica "R" mounts!)

If you don't mind, I think I'll just continue to drop in every once-in-a-while to take my political temperature.
Right now, I'm feeling... photography; or fishing; anything other than spending time on the internet on this glorious Saturday morning making pointless political points.
*
I am a Catfisherman, my Shakespeare ultralite and Quantum microlite poles used to catch Bream-Bluegills and other tasty little fish to feed the big Blue and Channel Catfish I'm really stalking.
**For the squeamish: yes I feed the big fish
live little fish: it's what they eat in real life.
Do I have
any compassion at all for the little fish? Yes!
But Islam has a saying which covers the occasion:
"
Insha’Allah": (
(if) God wills it)(
I will catch some fish).
