This premise depends on the institutions functioning. I do doubt that Bush could create a scenario that would cause a meltdown that would give him the excuse to claim emergency powers. It is evident that he does have a following that would support a bid for power, note the attacks against Scott. This would be to protect us from the "liberals" and their foolish notions.

Our infrastructure is damaged:

• Manufacturing.
• Energy production.
• Civil Liberties.
• Fear and profit is used as a tool to drive a wedge into those government and social institutions that allegedly protect us from such an act.

You can say that it will probably not occur but you cannot say that it cannot occur.
