Yesterday when I received the email about Obama turning down public funds I immediately did what I've been intending to do, join the PG group and make another donation.
This is EXACTLY the biggest reason I'm for Obama, kicking the old corporate money strings in the balls and pushing them out the door.
I only hope he continues this philosophy and applies it to the rest of government when he's in the White House.
I keep hearing nay sayers talk about how Obama can't really change anything as president, that presidents don't really have that much control... well what the hell just happened over the past 8 years? A redneck moron sitting in the oval office broke just about every rule our nation used to hold sacred. Starting an unprovoked war, torture, spying on it's own people, imprisonment without trial... and that's all fine? But a man comes along that not only talks the talk but is walking the walk of setting this country back on track, and they claim a president can't really change anything?
Bull.
