I don't want to go to down memory lane, but in this country of dunces 9/11 has been a win-win for the Bush Administration.
Bush did see the August 6, 2001, daily briefing memo headed "al Qaeda determined to strike on U. S. soil." He reportedly said to the "messenger", "O.K., your ass is covered." Rice
was recklessly loyal with her "Who would have thought ....?"" defense.
Rice denied knowledge of an emergency meeting called by George Tenet on July 10, 2001, about the urgency of an imminent al Qaeda attack -- until Bob Woodward produced White House logs that showed she attended that very meeting.
None of these criminals have been held accountable for their incompetence. Bush 43 was re-elected. Rice was promoted. Cheney has maniacally and successfully used 9/11 for his own agenda.
All these murderers and thugs sleep well at night. And they own the issue of national security. I give up.
