Eric dug himself into a hole on censorship. Instead of admitting he was wrong, he kept on digging. These days, he doesn't want to seem like a 'flip-flopper'. As if flip-flopping is always bad to do, even when you were initially incorrect and you simply corrected the mistake.

Typical Bush-thinking - never admit you're wrong, even when you're wrong. Better to commit suicide, and drag the whole world with you, than simply admit you were wrong. Nothing could be worse than looking like a 'flip-flopper'. I know, all throughout school, even when I said 0+0=52, I refused to flip-flop. Course, Bush Americans are so dumb, they voted for the moron who got all the answers wrong, but showed resolve in failure.

Obama might be young and inexperienced, but he's perfectly capable of learning the job within the coming months.
