The problem with gravity is that it's so much weaker than all the other forces. The fact that the electromatic forces, which extends to preventing matter [or particles thereof] from passing through matter, can stop gravity from causing those two masses from doing precisely that, even if one object is a neutron star. That's a huge difference in force magnitudes. Some specialation- and that's really at it is at this point, is that gravity is a hyperdimsional phenomenon, which readily bleeds across all "branes" in a multiverse.
