Wagner filed suit back in 1999 against the Brookhaven National Laboratory to prevent them from using their Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider for similar reasons. It’s been going for eight years now and the world hasn’t ended. There is no chance that CERN will create a black hole.

Micro-black holes (that "live" for a tiny fraction of a second) are created in our atmosphere by Cosmic Ray collisions on a frequent basis and at an energy level several orders of magnitude greater then what the LHC will achieve.
