Gas pipes and furnaces can be used for other purposes besides cremating humans. I said "HVAC units huh?" in a sarcastic manner. And indeed if they are HVAC units, HVAC units provide heating, cooling, and ventalation...

Theoretically the people being detained arent actual criminals so they shouldnt and wouldnt be sent to regular prisons with real criminals. They would be concentrated in civilian camps at local locations; not shipped off to established prisons.
