I'm sorry I've been away for so long. My husband's sister passed after a long agonizing battle with ALS and various cancer. She leaves behind a beautiful, sensitive and wise kid, a brother who loved her so much, and a step brother (me) who was blessed to be able to be so close to her in her final days. As you can imagine this house is full of devestated people, and it seems impossible to be apart from one another even for a second. Oh yea, I'm officially married now. The ceremony was bitter sweet because it was held in a hospital. Nick's sister's last wish was to see us get married, and she held on long enough to witness it. So now I'm a step-father, I've put my partner temporarily in charge of my company, and I'm unsure as to when I'll be able to return to work. The only upside of grief is the heightened sense of appreciation you have for you loved ones. I consider a bunch of you friends and wanted to keep you updated. If I ever get annoyed at my husband or situations at home I'll probably be taking it out on the trolls who riddle this board, and I may be an asshole or short to be who don't deserve it.
