Every so often, an incident occurs that seems to polarize the nation along racial lines.

The OJ verdict, Rodney King, Michael Richards, Imus, etc.

Intelligent individuals discuss these issues, as (sometimes) witnessed on these forums. The lines are evident during these discussions, and in a perfect world, each side would get a glimpse of "how it is" on the other side of the argument.



Not so intelligent individuals gather, and group mentality rears its ugly head. We hear about various hate crimes.


It seems that 2/3 of the incidents reported were relatively minor infractions...vandalism, property damage, or intimidation. More a show of ignorance than a true desire to inflict bodily harm.



I'm curious to know whether there is an increase in these hate related occurences, directly following one of the aforementioned polarizing incidents.





It was a rough year for race relations
