As well...you will want to line up an agent, a manager, an accountant, a tax attorney, a contract attorney, liability insurance, health insurance, life insurance, publicist, stylist and, if you're already going to all that trouble, I don't see why a spokesman cannot also have a spokesman.
It must ultimately be a bargain to keep on staff someone who will lie, cover and take the heat for you.
God knows, there are enough of 'em doin' it.
