Public transport sucks, although little by little I see some improvement, city council has even made a big effort for bike trails along the city, public buses are there, subway is on the way, but it just doesnīt work up til date. If you want to use public transport, get ready for doubling the time. Iīm aware this should be a very common issue everywhere, but I just thought of throwing in this little rant. How much waste of gas,....is it like that where you live? Just curious.
Yeah, my city is pretty much the same. It's an old city, and as such so is the layout and street plan. There's probably a 2 hour window in the afternoon when it doesn't feel like rush hour. Other than that you're in virtual gridlock. After living here for several years I finally decided that moving downtown was the only way to preserve my sanity. I now live only a couple blocks from my job and traffic has become a thing of the past.
