I have one very close friend who believes strongly in 9/11 conspiracy theories. When we first discussed it, he believed in CD's, missiles at the pentagon, etc. Now he only seems to believe stand downs and the "let it happen" theory. (He just couldn't argue against the hundreds of relevant experts versus amateurs routine... he he) But whenever we discuss the issue, it's a very lucid argument and neither of us get remotely angry. It's actually a pretty fun discussion.
I was once at a party with some accquantances and saw 3 people bitch at each other about these conspiracies for over an hour. I just stayed the hell out of it (which was really hard when the one guy started bringing up lies about nist not having access to any of the steel). What a party downer it was. But it was still relatively civil (compared to here).
I guess, from my discussions with people here, it's civil between me and Duvadoo (sp?) and sometimes with voodoo.
But often a lot of us resort to flat out shit slinging. I wonder why? Is it just the anonymity aspect?

Maybe the fact that you call anyone who questions what you put faith in 'crazy' and 'liars' - you know, like a RUDE BASTARD. Ya think that might have something to do with it?
