A pet squirrel, Henry, visited our household for a couple of weeks. He was a wild little tyke. He climbed us like a tree scurrying under our clothes so fast you could not stop him.

What was unnerving was that he liked to nibble, with their incisor a nibble usually breaks skin. So he would perch on our shoulder and one would worry about him becoming affectionate with ones ear - pierced.....

Eventually he stayed outside and would return infrequently so we would put nuts out.

Much later we put a bird feeder out in the middle of the yard. The squirrels were all over it, kind of fun to watch. But then one day we returned from errands when we let our dogs out, an eagle was on our deck overlooking the feeder. This was one of those whoa, experiences as that huge wingspan opened up......

.......new meaning to feeding the birds.

Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped, your strength exhausted and your treasure spent, other chieftains will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man, however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.
