the past three or four years have been very scary.

in fact, the past 10 years have been a real nightmare...

i hurt my back and lost EVERYTHING i owned and worked for my whole life - and ended up permanently disabled when i was left flat on my back with my injury going untreated because the insurance company rejected my claims for 3 1/2 years. then, after i finally got my fusions, and a job and thought i was getting my life back together, the company worked for (before this company) fired me just to get me out of their insurance pool, and i lost everything AGAIN when it took over a year before i could find anyone again who would hire me with my disability.

i was just grateful to find work of some kind - but also very bummed that the only way i could find work was to accept an independent contractor position. ...and then this fall, my teeth started to go to hell, my eyes started to fail, my car started falling apart, and everything was just getting worse and worse - scarier and scarier! it just seemed like EVERYTHING was conspiring to flush me right down the toilet!

did i mention i also have paid vacation and sick days?
