I know a LOT of people can be blamed of doing this, but I feel the same way about so called "patriots" following blindly as well. I have a soft spot for Christians. I have a soft spot for everyone who accepts what they are shown without asking any questions. I think that once we all realize that there are simply going to be questions that cannot and will not be answered the better off we'll be. Always ask questions, but know the answer might not always exist.
Religions like Christianity have it as a cornerstone to proselytize. So when you get all of one or a few demographics into the fold you work on those who weren't interesting in your prior deliveries of the message. in a sense they're not aiming for people who don't fct check, rather those whose psychology is roughly parallel to their theology.

But the question is, and I know this is going to bring the noise (which is somewhat what I want) but how do we know it's not true? Trust me, I'm not saying it is, but how do we know it's not? I completely agree that it sounds waaaaaaay out there, but what does science say to refute this guys claim? CAN science refute this claim? And if it does, isn't there a certain responsibility to present the data to the person making the claim?
Science has nothing to say on this, because there's no data, no test therum to calculate the likelihood and no repeatable experiment to be performed. This is something I keep pointing out to the religious and atheists alike. That science doesn't deal in god, because that requires some form of data or mathematics to operate within.
