that was way too much for me to read, but i skimmed it.

It does seem that the guise of returning religion ( theirs of course ) to the public square is just a stepping stone to total control.

I don't see a lot of tolerance in the Evangelical community.
They are fanatical in their belief system ( which i don't even pretend to comprehend)
and want total adherence to their principals.

All of which sends up warning signs that these Jesus freaks are more about aquiring power than love thy neighbor.

I've actually heard biblical passages quoted as the reason for policy decisions.
This is anathema to a Progressive like myself who really is not that interested in ideology.
I'm much more interested in pratical solutions to common problems, then whether the solution comes from the left or right.

Wheras the radical right seems more interested in whether any particular problem can be addresed thru their p.o.v.

In other words if it isn't sanctioned by some Christian Authority, the course of action is automatically condemed.

All of which leads me to the conclusion that these orthodox followers are fascists,
and are more interested in spreading their beliefs than governing by consent.
